WELCOME KERRIANNE COOMBES WITH RUNNING HOME, RELEASING 02/21/2012

Hello Goddesses! We have a very special treat for you today! Kerrianne Coombes has stopped by to tell us a little bit about her new book, Running Home, that comes out TOMORROW, February 21st!  Here is the book blurb that sounds just scrumptious!
Tom Cane, Ex-military man and self professed recluse turned farmer, wants nothing more from life but the chance to wallow in his own pity.  The shrapnel lodged permanently in his leg a daily reminder of his failings during his last tour of duty.  On a cold, rainy, British evening fate delivers a new reason to live in the form of Joanne Sloane, the daughter of a socialite and abused wife of an up and coming businessman.  Desperate and in fear of her life, she flees her home and stumbles onto Tom's land. Together their passions ignite and the need to rescue one another entangles them in a bitter fight for their lives.

And even more scrumptious is the book snippet that Kerrianne shared on her website http://kerriannecoombes.wordpress.com/
She moved with him, sliding her hands over his chest, gripping, and scraping. Her nails left tingles in their wake as she dragged them up and over his neck. She tugged at his hair, pulled him closer, stood on her tiptoes as he kissed her wildly.
Tom wanted to roar as erotic pressure built in his balls. The sexy way her hands and nails danced over his body were forcing him to lose control. He wanted her, wanted her naked, and under him.
Doesn’t that just make your mouth water??? We can’t wait for this book to get into our hot little hands!  It sounds like a book you can sink your teeth into, wrap your hands around, and make you want to bring the pages to life.
Ok, Kerrianne, how about a few questions to entice the readers?
When did you start writing?
Well, I have always written little bits here and there, but it was about four years ago that I decided to put a little more effort into my hobby.
What spurred you to become an author?
I have a wild and sometimes fantastical imagination, so I decided to put it to good use! Writing is a form of release for me.
What gave you your inspiration for this book?
I don't really know. I know I had the idea for Tom, a recluse and ex-military man, for a while but I didn't know what his story was. When I had the idea of Jo, a tortured wife, I had to put the pair together. I love Matchmaking. ;-)
Why did you pick the title Running Home?
Because when Jo makes the decision to run away from her abusive husband, she actually finds that home is not a brick-built house, it can be a person too.
Tell us, exactly what genre would you classify your book and why?
Contemporary erotic romance.
How long did it take you to write the book and become published?
I wrote Running Home in three weeks. When it had been BETA'D I sent my submission in, and it was accepted a week later. That was a very happy day indeed!
How did you choose Secret Cravings Publishing?  Were there other publishers wanting to sign you? Secret Cravings were asking for submissions for their line 'special love' and I felt Running Home' was a good fit for what they were asking for-- plus my crit partner Kathleen Grieve gave me a push. ;-)
Ok, now a Bakin’ Goddesses question:  If you were a dessert, what would it be and why? Creme brûlée, because once you crack through my sweet exterior, you find I am soft and gooey inside...
When you think of this book, what kind of foods do you think the characters would eat during a romantic dinner? For instance for another author, we suggested a wonderful Lavendar Creme Brulee for their characters because of the way those characters interacted with each other.
In the book, Tom and Jo eat a nice beef stew. It is comfort food, and Tom is Jo's comfort.
Are you a full-time writer or is this book something you wrote when you came home from work, on weekends, during holidays?
Since we emigrated to France I have been lucky enough to have more time to write. I have two kids, so full time writing can't happen. But one day I hope it will.
Did you let the characters tell their stories or did they allow you to steer them in the directions you thought they should go?
They totally told this story. I have no control over any of my characters. *sigh*
When you think of Tom, even with his leg imbedded with shrapnel, what stands out about his physical nature? Would his eyes attract you the most? His bulging biceps? The rock hard abs (as Shauni would say -- her favorite part are the 6-pack abs aka “penis pointers”)?? What is it about him that would tempt you?
Everything! He is a sex-pot! Shauni would not be disappointed, he has perfect penis pointers.  But for me, probably his deep, rumbling voice.. Yeah, that would work every time.
Ok, I’ll ask the question....What about Joanne? Is she a woman who is a stick figure and needs a hoagie to eat? Or is she a voluptuous woman who turns men’s heads even though she’s not the size of a pixie stick? Joanne is sexy, smart and very classy. Tom is a gonner immediately. ;-)
So, Kerrianne, now is your time to give us information about you, the book, or whatever you would like the readers to know.
I have another book coming out in April called, The One That Got Away. It is another contemporary romance. Then in May I have the first of a three book series of paranormal romances coming out. I am very excited!
You can find me on twitter kerrianne_xx and Facebook. And I have a blog www.kerriannecoombes@blogspot.com
We would like to thank Kerrianne for stopping by and giving us this opportunity to be one of the first blogs to showcase her book and we wish her all the best!  Ya’ll all run out and grab a copy of Running Home because it sounds like a smokin’ HAWT book.

Scotch Bonnet Chili Blini With Lobster in Honor of Sylvain Reynard's Gabriel's Inferno

Since we've finished with all the giveaways and it's been a little while since we've posted our own recipe, we thought it a good idea to post one for you today.  I (Kimberly) told you I'd post the Lobster Blini recipe that I wanted to post on Sylvain's interview but instead went with the Lavender Creme Brûlée Dreamy, Creamy Love Bites.  So, without anymore fanfare, here is the Lobster Blini recipe courtesy of The Seduction Cookbook - Culinary Creations For Lovers by Diane Brown.

Scotch Bonnet Chili Blini With Lobster
Shellfish, considered to be the headiest aphrodisiac, contains phosphorus, an element said to spark erotic desire.  Chiles provoke amore by stimulating the same physical effects of lovemaking: the body becomes heated, the pulse quickens, and the face flushes.  These starters are eaten with fingers, and can easily slip into the lips of your lover.

MAKES 6 APPETIZERS
1 small egg, beaten; use half
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon, melted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 Scotch bonnet, or habanero chile, minced fine
(Use gloves when handling chiles and avoid touching our skin and eyes)

2 large lobster claws, poached and shelled, (purchase prepared from local fish market)
      sliced into six portions
1-1/2 ounces of creme fraiche (available in the diary section of well-stocked supermarkets)
          or sour cream
1 tablespoon caviar of choice

INSTRUCTIONS:
1.  Beat the milk, 1 tablespoon melted butter, and egg (use half) lightly in a mixing bowl. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together; add them to egg mixture, stirring just enough to dampen the flour.  Mix in chile.
2.  Heat a griddle over medium-high heat and spread remaining butter over surface.  Pour a tablespoon of mixture onto griddle and cook until bubbles form on top.  Turn and brown the other side.  Hold at room temperature.  Blini can be made 12 hours in advance.  Cover until ready to serve.
3.  Top each blini with 1/4 teaspoon creme fraiche, 1 lobster claw slice, and a dab of the caviar.  Serve immediately.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of this particular blini; however, here are a couple of photos that will give you an idea as to what the outcome should look like.  Remember, you can fold the blinis as they are in the first photo or you can leave them as round discs if the disc is thick enough to hold the ingredients.  I personally love the way the first blini looks.  Both blinis are only missing the lobster.

Doesn't this sound YUMMY??  Gabriel introduced Julia to some very sensual flavors and textures when they went to dinner or the club.  I think that with his knowledge of food and his need to share that with Julia this would have been a very sexy recipe that would have had him engrossed in her lips and mouth even more than he already was.  Seeing her reaction to the Scotch bonnet with her skin flushing, her pupils dilating, her intake of breath as the flavors touched each taste bud and the creme fraiche soothing over the sting from the Scotch bonnet would have sent Gabriel over the edge; however, this is all just my opinion.

This seems like a recipe that may be "hard" but do a google search and find some other recipes for blinis.  There are some very good recipes out there for caramelized pear blinis.  *I think I just heard my stomach grumble*
