INTERVIEW & GIVEAWAY WITH THE RADIANT JENNIFER LAURENS

Ok everybody! Give an especially warm welcome to Ms. Jennifer Laurens.  She is an especially gracious lady who has written quite a few books under her own name and under a pen name.

Cats or Dogs? ( Hey what about Birds and lizards? ) Both! I have 4 cats and a Dobie/Dane dog.
Salty or Sweet (This of course means when you’re “playing” because this isn’t an adult Goddess site for nothin’)? Chocolate? Salty AND sweet AND chocolate – though rarely those in one combo.
Vampires or Werewolves (Of course you can choose “other” but you have to elaborate *snickering*)? Neither.
Fireman or Cowboy? Fireman!!
Hairy or Smooth (Body hair)? SMOOOOOOTH
Clean Shaven or Stubble? Ohhh, both looks are sexy.
Diet or Regular soda (Or....if you’re like me, Kimberly, you’re stuck on Powerade Zero)? Diet soda!! Rockstar or Pepsi
Fruit or Veggies (Or Chocolate)? Fruit. ( Sounds like I’m a sweetaholic )
Coffee or tea (Or Chocolate)? Decaf coffee
The song that is most annoying when it sticks in your head -- sorry had to do it. Tie a Yellow Ribbon, Hello,
Apple or Microsoft? Not particular in that dept.
Drama or Comedy or anything with Gerard Butler -- What Shauni? He’s Hawt!  What Kim?*wiping drool* I love Gerard but what about Jason Momoa ooooohhh Or Charlie Hunnan?  OOH Shauni! Charlie!!! We Loves Us some Jax! SOA! All the way baby!  I guess we should let the guest answer the question though, huh? (tv, movies)? LOVE Gerard Butler. My latest: Person of Interest Jim Caviezel. CHECK. IT. OUT.
Spring or Fall (Fall -- cuz I can beat him to the floor! *snickering*)? Fall.
Sedan or Sports Car (Hey! I live in Texas! Where’s the truck suggestion???)? SUV.
Tattoos or no Tattoos? No tats. Nooooo.
Favorite splurge food -- Tacos, Pizza, Cheeseburger (Or Chocolate peanut butter swirl FUDGE)???? Again, chocolate, chocolate and MORE chocolate. Donuts are my fav splurge food: specifically Grannies in SoCal.
What dish do you make perfect? Roast.
What dish have you messed up completely by burning or over cooking it? Minnie never burns fried chicken
Can you give us your favorite Christmas cookie recipe? If not the recipe, your favorite cookie, we’ll find the recipe.
Paradise Sugar Cookies:
1 c. powd. Sugar,
1c. gran. Sugar,
2c. butter flav shortening.
2Tb. Vanilla,
1 egg,
4 c. flour
¾ tsp. b.p,
¾ tsp. b.s.

Cream short., egg and van. Add dry ingred and beat. Will be crumbly. Scoop out with icecream scooper ( patting into the scoop to form balls ) and roll in granulated sugar.
Bake 375 8 mins. Flatten with bottom of a glass as soon as they come from the oven.

Those just sound just absolutely divinely addictive! I'd have to hire someone to make those and keep them in stock so I have them whenever I want them! *Looking at Shauni* What? *Whispering between the two of us* Ahem Sorry *We both stop whispering and look at all of the readers* We were being terribly rude! But we've come to an agreement that Goddesses do not hire someone to do work for them, they simply tell someone nicely to do it and they do...Isn't it wonderful??? Ok, back to the interview!

Now is the part where we let you do some shameless self promotion of your books.  Please tell the readers something about what you’re currently writing or what has just been released.  We’re shameless when it comes to pimpin’ new stuff!

HEAVENLY is the story of a teenage girl who falls in love with her autistic sisters’ guardian angel. It’s based on my family and our life living with a child who has autism.

My newest releases are: Overprotected – about a sheltered NYC society princess who falls in love with her bodyguard, changing the course of her family’s future.

And A Season of Eden about a teenager who falls in love with her high school music teacher even knowing there will be serious repercussions for them both.

*Can you please show the readers some of your most favorite work? Feel free to shamelessly promote your achievements here because we, as Goddesses, totally would!  I LOVE the term Goddesses. I’m not afraid to call myself the Goddess of FORBIDDEN LOVE – that’s my specialty in all of my books. ( See book descriptions above? ) I’ve also been told Heavenly has the best love triangle out there.

What is one of your most favorite pieces that you have done for yourself? If its something personal and you don’t want to show it, can you tell us about it? HEAVENLY, since it’s autobiographical in so many ways. Our family chose to deal with our daughter who has autism in different ways—drug abuse, alcoholism, rebellion – all of my children have been challenged and affected by our handicapped daughter. I’m told over and over again how ‘real’ HEAVENLY feels. Because it is!!

Fun interview. I've noticed an increase in the number of books people write with characters with autism in them, and I'm very interested in reading this new one. redapplenails@gmail.com
